Taize Worship is back!

Looking for a quiet, meditative prayer service? Taize might be a great addition to your worship life. Taize started in France and has spread throughout the world. It features short, repetitive songs, very easy to pick up, that focus your heart and mind on God. With candlelight and quiet, Taize moves you to a different kind of spiritual experience. Jan. 22 is the date for this month's Taize worship and then it will be every third Sunday at 4:00 PM. Please give it  try!

The Hospitality Committee
invites everyone to join in in the Hospitality Hour between 9:30 & 10:30 each Sunday morning. We are in need of volunteers to bring treats, please sign up on sheets on the front table, have them here before 9:30 and bring 3 dozen. Thanks!

Elk River Lutheran has available for short term use a wheelchair, a patient chair and a walker - a blue one with hand brakes and seat. Please contact the church office if you need to borrow one of these for a short period of time.

Volunteer Opportunities:

A team of volunteers is needed to operate the video, sound and powerpoint at both the 8:15 and 10:30 services. Please contact Larry Cook larry.cook@elkriverlutheran.org if you are able to help in this important part of our ministry.

Volunteers are needed for weekly cleaning of the church. Check the sign-up sheets in the fellowship area to see where you can serve.
Also needed are office volunteers Monday through Thursday mornings from 9 to noon to answer the phone and greet visitors as well as greeters on Sunday mornings. Please check the sign-up sheets in the Fellowship area.

Prayer Chain: If you are interested in being on the prayer chain, please sign up at the desk by the church entry. We need to know the best time and way to reach you, by email or phone. We just need your name and how you want to receive the information. Contact Betty Zehringer with questions.

The Congregation Council voted to establish accounts for Lutheran Social Services and Lutheran World Relief. Along with CAER, you may now contribute to those organizations by writing your check to ERLC and designating the organization on the memo line. (This will save you having to receive all of the mail solicitations if you were to send a check directly.) Any monies will be forwarded to the organizations. We are very pleased to be able to be a conduit for these wonderful organizations.
