Children, Youth & Family Ministry (CYF)
At Elk River Lutheran Church we aim to be remarkable in our faith formation. Our ministries, from Preschool through Senior High, nurture kids and their families in their faith journey by integrating them into the overall life of the church. Please scroll through this page to see what some of those offerings look like and reach out with any questions (contact form at the bottom of this page). All are welcome and you do not need to be a member of ERLC to participate.

CAER Drive Contest
Additional Options to Support the Contest or CAER:
Online Shopping: UPS has delivered multiple packages full of baby and personal care items to church! What a great way to support the CAER product drive that our youth are doing! If you want to send items our way through Amazon or grocery delivery, please feel free to do so. Thanks in advance!
Financially**: Giving financially via Elk River Lutheran to CAER is always an option to support this organization.

First Communion
All are welcome at the Communion Table here at Elk River Lutheran. If parents feel like their children are prepared to participate in the elements, then students are welcome to do so. All other children are invited to come for a blessing.
The first time students participate in the elements is a special time, and we’d like to help them be prepared to experience the Eucharist (as well as know what that word means!). We will be offering two classes to teach Communion Basics. Students only need to come to one class, and parents are encouraged to come to the class as well.
While all children are welcome, we recommend students participate in First Communion Preparation in mid-to-late elementary school and hopefully by the time they get to Confirmation (7th grade). Parents, you know your children best, so we leave that decision up to you.

KIDS CONNECT
Children's Ministry
Kids and families are encouraged to attend worship together, where kids can participate in Kids Connect, our new spin on Sunday School (see below). Families should also check out the monthly CYF Nights, which kids are welcome to attend on their own or with their families.
CLUB 456
CONFIRMATION
Confirmation is a faith formation program where students grow in faith by engaging in lessons led by the pastors, building relationships with peers, and participating in the life of the church. Students begin in 7th grade and are invited to confirm their faith in the fall of their 9th grade. Held most Wednesdays starting at 6:30 pm.
