Reconciling in Christ (RIC) Sunday

Each year, the first Sunday in February at ERLC is designated as Reconciling in Christ (RIC) Sunday. The basis for this welcome is our reconciliation in Jesus Christ, who opened his arms to all. Currently, there are over 930 settings of the Lutheran church on the RIC roster, including congregations, campus ministries, seminaries, synods of the ELCA and Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada, bible camps, other independent organizations, and colleges of the ELCA.

In 2020 we were fortunate to have  Rev. Jia Starr Brown as our Guest Speaker (click here to listen to her sermon). We also were blessed by the RIC Celebration Choir (click here to see their performance).
This service each year feathres the "Shower of Stole Project" collection of Liturgical Stoles and sacred items representing the lives of LGBT leaders of faith.
