RIC (Reconciling in Christ) Celebration Sunday

Next RIC Sunday: February 7, 2027 - 8:30am and 10:30am Worship Services

Each year, the first Sunday in February at ERLC is designated as RIC (Reconciling in Christ) Celebration Sunday. In 2026 we welcomed back RingOUT! - Twin Cities LGBTQIA+ Handbell Ensemble to both of our RIC Celebration services. .

Reconciling in Christ (RIC) Sunday is an annual worship celebration created to share in the commitment our organization and partnering faith communities have in the ongoing work of welcome, inclusion, celebration, and advocacy for LGBTQIA+ people in the life of the church.

While historically this day is celebrated on the final Sunday in January, many RIC partners will celebrate on their date of affirmation, or on other days meaningful to their communities rooted in this commitment to radical hospitality.

Elk River Lutheran will be joined collectively with  1,140+ RIC partners across the United States and Canada through this celebratory service.

Fun to see Elk River Lutheran members and friends at Wright-Sherburne Pride festivals
