I'm New Here - Connection Form
I’m so glad you’ve found us! Elk River Lutheran Church is a new church located in a remodeled bank building on the Mississippi River in downtown Elk River. We are a forward-thinking congregation made up of people of all ages. Our mission is: Trusting in God’s grace, an accepting, joyful community, serving God and neighbor.
We invite you to join us Sundays for 9:30AM Summer Worship in-person or online via Facebook and Youtube.* These services are rooted in our Lutheran worship tradition, but also incorporate more contemporary worship elements, including music. We always welcome kids with all their wiggles and noises in worship and each week there are special opportunities for them to participate in worship. We are a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and celebrate the work we’re able to do together as a denomination (to learn more about the ELCA visit www.elca.org). We welcome all people and as a Reconciling in Christ (RIC) congregation that welcome extends to the LGBTQ+ community. Feel free to fill out this Connection Form to receive more information about Elk River Lutheran. There are many opportunities to participate and volunteer within the ministries of this church, but first and foremost, we hope you’ll join us for worship some Sunday morning. I look forward to meeting you! -Pastor Nathan * Please note that during the school year, we have two distinct vibrant Sunday morning worship services held in our sanctuary and streamed online to Facebook & Youtube: ● The first, at 8:30 am, is a traditional Lutheran service that follows liturgical settings from the Evangelical Lutheran Worship (ELW) hymnal and the music is led by our staff pianist and a cantor and contains hymns from the ELW hymnal. ● Our 10:30 am contemporary service has music led by piano and an occasional acoustic band, maintains many key elements of Lutheran worship but contains contemporary arrangements of songs and hymns. |
