About Elk River Lutheran Church
Located in a remodeled bank building right on the Mississippi River in downtown Elk River, we are the only ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) congregation in the city of Elk River. Formed in 2009 we have grown to over 700 members focused on our mission:
Trusting in God’s grace, an accepting, joyful community, serving God and neighbor.
We are a Reconciling in Christ (RIC) congregation, meaning we are proud to be welcoming of the LQBTQ+ community. We recently painted the pictured mural on the outside of our building as a celebration of how we strive to live, “Powered by Love.” Elk River Lutheran is known locally for hosting and participating in community building events that provide fun, safe opportunities for people to gather.
